Creating a blog, again, and why

Ok, so I clicked a few buttons and found that I had a blog. I had one once before, but didn't know what to do with it. I posted a couple of articles on it, but it just languished. And then the database tables mysteriously disappeared off my server. Hmmm. Anyway, I decided I wanted to set one up again because I have a few writing projects that I'm working on, and I would like to put them out there for some feedback while I do them. Some of the feedback I get will be lame, and I will ignore it as much as possible. But some of it will be really helpful, and I will use it and benefit from it.
